Accept Mission Power Platform Connector

Connect Accept Mission with the Microsoft Power Platform to automate innovation workflows, integrate business applications, and bring innovation into daily operations.

Updated this week

What is the Accept Mission Power Platform Connector?

The Accept Mission Power Platform Connector is a paid extension that allows you to securely connect Accept Mission with the Microsoft Power Platform. It enables innovation data from Accept Mission to be used directly in tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Copilot Studio.

With the connector, Accept Mission remains the system of record for ideas and innovation processes, while Microsoft tools are used to automate actions, build applications, and interact with users.

Why we built this connector

In many organizations, innovation and execution live in different systems. Ideas are managed in Accept Mission, while follow-up and delivery happen in project tools, CRM systems, collaboration platforms, or internal applications. This often results in manual handovers, delays, and loss of context.

The Power Platform Connector was built to close this gap. It allows innovation data to trigger actions in other systems and allows signals from business applications to create or update ideas in Accept Mission. This ensures innovation is not isolated, but embedded in daily operations.

Technology is not the goal. Better execution of innovation is.

What the connector does

The connector exposes key Accept Mission functionality through secure APIs that can be used within the Microsoft Power Platform.

Supported entities

You can work with, among others:

  • Ideas

  • Projects

  • Missions

  • Funnels and funnel lanes

  • Categories

  • Departments

  • Tasks linked to ideas and projects

  • Users

  • Strategic domains

Real-time updates

The connector supports webhooks, enabling live updates. This allows flows and applications to respond immediately when something changes in Accept Mission.

Where the connector is used

  • Power Automate for workflows and automation

  • Power Apps for custom internal applications

  • Copilot Studio for conversational agents that interact with innovation data

Key benefits for clients

Using the Accept Mission Power Platform Connector helps you to:

  • Reduce manual work by automating handovers between systems

  • Improve follow-up on ideas by connecting them directly to execution tools

  • Keep Accept Mission as the single source of truth for innovation

  • Increase adoption by embedding innovation into daily tools

  • Enable advanced use cases without custom development

This is especially valuable for organizations already using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.

Use cases with Innovationlands

The following examples use Innovationlands, a fictional demo company, to illustrate what is possible.

Use case 1: Idea creation triggers action in another system

Scenario
Innovationlands wants every new idea in a specific funnel lane to automatically appear in their internal project intake system.

How it works

  • A webhook triggers when an idea is created or moved to a specific funnel lane in Accept Mission

  • Power Automate receives the event

  • A new item is created or updated in another business application

Value

  • No manual triage by the innovation team

  • Faster ownership assignment

  • Clear link between idea and execution

Use case 2: A business application triggers idea creation

Scenario
Customer feedback is collected in another system and should automatically become ideas in Accept Mission.

How it works

  • An event in the external system triggers a Power Automate flow

  • The flow creates a new idea in Accept Mission

  • The idea is automatically linked to the correct mission, category, or department

Value

  • Innovation input is not lost

  • Ideas are created with full context

  • Accept Mission remains the central idea repository

Use case 3: Keeping data in sync between systems

Scenario
Innovationlands manages projects in Accept Mission, while execution progress is tracked elsewhere.

How it works

  • Webhooks or flows listen for changes in the execution system

  • Selected fields, such as status or progress, are updated in Accept Mission

Governance principle
Accept Mission remains the owner of innovation logic and decision-making. Only agreed fields are synchronized.

Value

  • Always up-to-date reporting

  • No duplicate status updates

  • Better portfolio oversight

Use case 4: Copilot Studio Agent for innovation

[Image suggestion: Copilot Studio agent canvas interacting with Accept Mission data]

Scenario
Innovationlands deploys a Copilot Studio Agent that employees can interact with using natural language.

Employees can:

  • Submit new ideas through conversation

  • Ask questions such as “Show me ideas about sustainability”

  • Retrieve lists of ideas related to a specific subject or mission

How it works

  • Copilot Studio uses the Accept Mission connector

  • The agent retrieves or creates data in Accept Mission

  • Access rights and structure are enforced by Accept Mission

Value

  • Lower barrier to participation

  • Innovation becomes accessible in everyday language

  • Higher engagement without additional training

When not to use the connector

The Power Platform Connector is powerful, but not always necessary.

You may not need it if:

  • Native Accept Mission workflows already cover your use case

  • No external systems need to react to innovation data

  • You require heavy bi-directional synchronization across many fields

In these cases, keeping processes within Accept Mission may be simpler and more robust.

Getting started

To get started with the Accept Mission Power Platform Connector:

  1. Contact your Success Manager to activate the extension

  2. Define your integration goals and governance rules

  3. Build your first flows, apps, or Copilot agents with support from our team

If you already use Power Platform, you can move quickly from idea to working integration.
